Good question. I don't think I ever feel completely safe. There are times when I just want to lay my head in someones lap, and pretend I'm just a kid again and that, for a brief moment or two, nothing untoward can touch me. But that's fleeting, because the minute I raise my head back up I become a moving target once again.
