Isn't it the storylines that really draw people to sports? If we didn't care who was doind what they wouldn't wear names on their jerseys, just numbers. The game is on only for so many minutes or hours, but the talking and perdicting goes on for ever.

I watch it for the excitement, the suspense, and the anticipation of who's gonna break what record, and have the most exciting plays.

Not too mention, the sexy athletes (i.e. Kobe, Dante Hall, Jevon Kearse, Brian Urlacher, Torii Hunter, etc.)

i watch it for the compatition and the action (i only realy watch collage football) because it is rough. i dont like pro because they are paid wayyy to much to play a game. but it is the action and the compatition. also when the team you like is behind one touchdown and there are 2 min left on the clock QB throws a long pass to a redshirt reciever and he barly catches it then trips and falls 2 yards into the end zone. thats just a nice feeling sitting ont he edge of your seat your heart beating really fast and your sweating even though all yove done is sit round and eat chips.
