This is simple but can take some time. You need a program like Pinnacle Studio, Nero, or My DVD. (I use Studio). You basically read the DIVX file using the program. (You can also edit, cut scenes, add transitions, etc.).

Then you Make your Movie. These programs allow you to create a file or write to DVD / Video CD. It's easy, but the video must be rendered and copied to the disk. This process takes some time (but don't do anything while its processing).

you are looking for avi converter ,but for as low as £33 you can buy divx compatible dvd players i use this as i can get about 4 or 5 films on 1 disc if i use it in divx format.

there are several ways to do that...u can use free software for it of u can buy(basically, the difference is that non-free software is more user friendly)...my choice would be gtxtranscoder(to recode the .avi file to .mpg), then u use xMuxer to divide .mpg file to audio and video component and finally use ifoedit to bring those two components together in format readable by standalone DVD players...as u can see, there is some work but once u get the hang of it, it is pretty easy

download nero7 for free this will convert your divx on to dvd simple.
