need time to find another g/f, before he dumps you

Depends on the guy. Some guys use that phrase because they are tired of the relationship and want to move on. Others do indeed need some time to sort things out. Hang in there, but not too long.

Sometimes, he really does just need time. He's feeling overwhelmed, claustaphobic (needs some breathing space), or wants some alone time with no expectations demanded of him.

Sometimes it's cuz he's a freaking player, and he tells you he needs time because he's got other things on his mind with other people. You won't know unless he gets himself busted. But women are pretty intuitive, and if you listen to your inner voice, you'll know which one it is.

When a guy says that it really means " I am available to you, but if I have another option I won't be". This is the way we keep the door open without having a commitment. So when you catch us out with another girl we can say, "Whats the big deal, I'm not with you anyways". Don't hate the player, hate the game....

Can't speak for everyone but if I told you I need time...then I need time. Not right for a guy to string a nice girl along when he has absolutely no interest. You have to look at who it is and if he has always been straight with you, than ask him and trust what you believe.

hey *****,
It could be either one really.. If he stops talking to you altogether, then that means that he's a **** pussy.. If he doesnt stop talking to you, that means that he really cares about you and needs time before he asks you to take the next step in the relationship.. In that case good luck!!

he might be giving you time as well, to see perhaps where the trust level is
mind you it always happens when the couple is quite young

otherwise, you should consider leaving, and doing better things with your life and your time, like I did!
he may realize then all the good stuff he's lost

no one knows what they have until after they lose it

Well , usually it means he needs his space..

And usually its not a good sign.. their usually walking that thin line of trying to decide if they really want to be with u , or not, but since they cant make up their mind.. they use the excuse of needing time..

What do you mean? HE could be telling you he wants some space to think, or maybe he wants to break up and is trying to find an easy way to do it. Either way you need some clarity from him.

Too many factors...like how long have the two of you been together, what "stage" of the relationship are you in, what are your ages, past relationship history, etc...to really be able to give you a definitive answer.

He needs time to see if his other fling is going to work out or not. He wants to be sure you're still there waiting when it doesn't.
