Brandenburg Gate in Berlin, most of Munich, Herrenchiemsee and Neuschwanstein( the castles of Ludwig II the mad king of Bavaria), the Black Forest, The Cologne Cathedral, Linderhof Castle, Heidelberg with its castle, Dachau (on the border near Poland), The Romantic Road(Scenic route through bavaria mostly) and lots of other castles and crystal factories and breweries. Thats just to name a few. Some things in Munich include the glockenspiel, the hofbrauhaus(most famous beer house in the world for Oktoberfest), and a bunch of cathedrals. Germany is mostly famous for it's quaintness but with immense castles and cathedrals, and lots of beer.

The Neueschwanstein Castle is gorgeous! His parents castle at the bottom of the hill is also very nice. These are in Southern Germany near the border with Austria. In Hanau (20 min. east of Frankfurt) there is the house where the Brothers Grimm lived. There are so many castles along the roads.

Most popular are Munich for the oktoberfest, berlin, and the bavaria region (neuschwanstein, etc).
Also good to see around the region I lived in were heidelberg, koblenz, mainz, Trier (freaking awesome), Koln (Cologne), Worms, Rothenberg Ob Der Tauber, and the wine villages along the rhein river.

A little a-typical but fun nonetheless: a lot of alcohol companies give tours of their factories. The one that is closest to me is the Beck's factory in Bremen, which is a VERY popular beer here, especially among the younger generations. You get to see the whole factory, and they give you free Becks at the end! :D Highly recommended, if you want to do something a little *different* while you're here.

Actually most of the stuff is in berlin not München. Anyways reichstag, brandenburg gate, potsdamer platz, museum island, berliner dom, ku damm. Berlin represents the "modern" germany. Just search on main sites in Berlin. You will get a huge list. the other less modern and cool stuff can be found elswhere like frankfurt or münchen. lol. and hauptbahnhof, and kadewe oh and san souci in potsdam (right next to berlin)

Do you like cars?
I suggest, STUTTGARD, located in southwestern germany, 200km south east of Frankfurt Ah Mein. The not so little town of Stuttgard is famous for, Mercedes Benz and ofcourse Porsche. I highlly recomend the Porsche Museum and if you are one of them lucky ppl, pick up your Porsche at the factory. You get a whole tour, a chance to try out your porsche at their custom build race track and free tuning. From Stuttgard, you are in close reach of bavaria, mountain region of southern Germany. Fantastic roadways and the autobahn, not always, has no speed limit zones. Remeber, Auzfart means exit and speeding tickets are cheap
