I'm not trying to be racist it's a serious question I studied their history and they arrived in Austrailia 40,000 years ago and the Neanderthals didn't die off in Europe until 24,000 years ago. They look identical to Neanderthal pictures and I kind of feel like if scientists new their was a connection they wouldn't make it public to avoid hurting feelings. I mean their is documented proof of the existence of neanderthal/homo sapien hybrids so it is likely that their is a known connection.

Aboriginals didn't arrive in Austrailia by boat secondly recent research shows that Neanderthals went extinct by interbreeding with the larger Modern Human population but Austrailia was seperated from the rest of the World.

Furthermore recent DNA research shows that Neanderthals were a subspecies of Homo Sapiens and not a seperate species at all.

I think that recent advances in genetic theory has demonstrated the neanderthal gene pool, did interbreed with the human gene pool and that there are neanderthal genes in the human population.

However, the proposition that abrogines are neanderthals has never been demonstrated.

No, Neandertals as a subspecies were a population of humans that were restricted to Europe and parts of the Near East.

There are no fossils from Australia that have the distinctive features that mark the Neandertal lineage.

While there are some superficial similarities (i.e. heavier than average brow ridges), between the Neandertals and the aboriginal peoples of Australia, the Australians show all of the hallmark characterisitics of Homo sapiens sapiens (i.e. mental eminence, lack of occipital bunning, other features of the long bones, reduced prognathism).

There is no evidence, fossil, genetic, or otherwise, to indicate a connection between the Neandertals and Australians.

There are, however, several people of European descent who do on occasion show a lot of the Neandertal features. Milford Walpoff, an anthropologist and expert on Neandertals with the University of Michigan, for example, looks a HECK of a lot like a Neandertal.

Neanderthals first appeared in Europe and parts of western Asia about 230,000 years ago, evolving from the Homo erectus strain that moved into Europe from Africa about one million years ago. Neanderthals dominated Europe until the arrival of modern Homo sapiens from Africa about 40,000 years ago. Then they began to fade out. The last fossil traces of the Neanderthals were found in Spain and are about 28,000 years old.

IOW, no. Aborigines are not any kind of neanderthal hybrid. All evidence shows that Neanderthals preferred more temperate climates, and there is no evidence at all that they ever knew how to build boats, or had any need to.

I guess I don't know, but I am currently reading a book called The Last Human, by A. Gibbons, and I believe it makes reference to this.

Science never hurt feelings, if they find the theory is true they will put it out.
