While I breastfed I wate whatever I wanted. After I weaned, I continued to eat like crazy and did gain weight. When I noticed the weight gain, I went on a diet and lost the weight, plus some in about a month.
Just be aware of what you eat after you stop nursing and you should be ok!

I have 3 children, and had the same experience with all of them. I retained an additional 5 pounds (I am a small woman) until after I had weaned them (approx. same stage as you). It didn't matter what I ate or didn't eat. My body just seemed to keep hold of a bit of fat until after weaning. Then it seemed like those remaining pounds dropped off within days. The books talk about breastfeeding helping you to get back to normal size, and that's probably true, but those last few pounds were something else!

I usually have a difficult time losing till after I wean...I even gain while nursing and have had to learn to watch what and how I eat... after I wean? it seems to melt off... everyone is different... I do not think I ever heard of anyone having any gaining after weaning though... and you should not worry, as long as you maintain healthy choices and exercises...
good luck

I lost my toddler weight in 2 weeks of giving start yet then gained it back in the path of the path of breastfeeding (15months while she substitute into weaned). i be conscious of you are able to shed weight through fact the greater advantageous energy it burns to offer the milk, yet as long as you're conscious of it and merely dont initiate entering into any undesirable behavior you would be ok. I didnt pay interest till it substitute into all back on, i'm at present 0.5 the being pregnant weight now. So all isn't lost. sturdy success :-)

the only way i could see you gaining weight is if you don't burn off the calories that you consume. I allowed my children to have bed time feedings up until two. Just to keep my immune system working for them, but remove one feeding a week is less stressful on you and the little one. Just keep your activity level up and you should not see any weight gain.

weight gain was an issue - not too much , thank god. but you can just regulate your diet to compensate for it. remember running around after a little one can also be tiring and energy consuming.
my body has not changed a lot.
