but don't believe that altering the chemical composition of your atmoshere will have harmful effects on your environment?
And who put it in your minds that converting to less harmful energy sources would be a boil the ocean project, a project too large to undertake?
You find it worthwhile to spend billions of your dollars in war but nothing for the continuation of life.

You and me both . We spent at least 1 trillion on the war .
A trillion put to good use would allow for any kind of solar power to have expanded . But those windmills are ugly and the solar panels block the sun from reaching plants on the ground and tidal power changes the bays and inlets and disturbs the ego system .
So no perfect situation is at hand but it is a dam sight better then killing people for oil .
Nothing new under the sun ,we package different is all . Slavery did not disappear its called minimum wage .Hell its called any wage below $12.00 an hour .
And I am not even concerned so much with the wage as I am people working 40 hours a week and receiving no benefit accept food and shelter . Where is the ability to pay for medical care or save for retirement or a rainy day . We have millions homeless 35 million below poverty and 10 million working hard withe no benefits or means to obtain them . Lots of people with degrees working at McDonalds ,Ruby Tuesday ,Kroger ,Publix ,and the like . Our so called educated to manage simple tasks . What would we do with 30 million scientists if we had them tomorrow .Or 50 million doctors . People know that that level of education requires a bit more then just being born . You are smarter then the next guy and those people with the talent to educate themselves move forward and not all people have the talent . So is being born better acknowledged . Not openly . We make some really bad mistakes when we place a dollar value on work . We have divided work into specialties and those that are rewarded with the greatest income are those who tell others to get to work and sit in the air-conditioning . They develop programs to take the working mans money .
Cause until you build something that works you can not take a profit from it . The more people you can take from the richer you become .
We can argue with people about global warming the wasted lives and work by building a society who's sole purpose is to take the resources at a price they are willing to pay and if you attempt to defend yourself or build weapons to harm those who are stealing your resources out from under you we just call them radicals and do our best to eliminate them . We have been robbing the planet and the people of this earth and building an unmatched military that can not be defeated . So we blackmail other nations and the greedy climb to the top abusing the workers .
We will never have a fair system till we decide things must change and war and killing by governments comes to an end .
Work on feeding clothing and finding the renewable energy sources to make life easier by using machines .
If you like model society off the Amish .Work is not wasted and they share the work and the harvest .
We worked to build weapons so no harvest unless we loot the resources of others . By contractual agreements imposed upon a nation by a government that buys our protection . The United States and ITS allies are running a world wide protection racket and everyone is paying the price . The cost is millions starving to death millions who die from illness that can be cured and all for what . A Group of 10% or so living off the rest of the world .
It does sicken me and I have no faith in God ,religion , or man .
Take what you can to get by and drop out of the rat race early before it takes your humanity and you become like them . I began working on houses 25 years ago and stopped a few years back before I lost it and joined them . Its easy they want you to grow expand provide more . The more you grow the more you seem to want . You lose site of what life is all about . Hanging with good people doing no harm and trying to point out that the solution is staring you in the face . Stop buying into the notion that war and a military is the answer to anything .
Sit in the backyard some day if you have squirrel He would grab all the acorns he can storing them up but if you sit around the nuts he will go next door and get the nuts from there .
Now try sitting back 40 feet and toss out a peanut or two . He will take them .Move closer and toss out some more . In no time at all you can coax him to eat out of your hand . Now figure out you can make money from the nuts .You can chase the squirrel away but he will be back . so you must kill him . Now was the squirrel an enemy or not . He could of been your friend if you tried . And he would even leave some nuts behind for you .
Well All I can say is people are more messed up today then ever good luck finding some peace in this militaristic driven society without killing someone who truly deserves it .

I agree, Aslan. I guess for most people it's easier to believe in the outlandish than to actually get up and do something to protect the world they live in. It actually takes some effort to think. Most people don't even really understand why we're fighting in Iraq to begin with. Most people are like a flock of sheep being herded from one place to another. There are very few critical, independent thinkers out there.

its very simple, i believe we do affect it, but not much at all. Why? well, were only humans, what control do we really have? Think about it, a gamma radiation ray from the sun, if it hit earth would kill everyone on earth. What can we do about it? Absolutely nothing, so why can we control something like global warming?
