1. 30 year mortgages
2. Long term bonds?

If they really believe this, should the government ban these because the companies/people who hold them know that they will never get the maturation of their loan?

Interesting concept! The whole global warming thing is merely a power grab. That and its seen as a revenue stream. If liberals gave two craps about anyone other than themselves they would force China, India, etc. to clean up their factories. I do not feel good about paying $5.00/gal. for gas and driving a prius when I know Long Duck Dong in China is spewing billows of black smoke by the metric ton every hour so that walmart can have cheap plastic crap to peddle! Stop the insanity people!

You obviously have no clue what the science behind global warming is, nor what liberals are calling for in regards to these findings. No liberal or scientist that I am aware of has declared this the "End of the World". Rather, there is a call to start reducing the emissions of green house gases to prevent the runaway greenhouse scenario, similar to the recall of HCFCs in products preventing Stratospheric Ozone depletion.

I swear, how many times do we hear conservatives say that it is better to err on the side of caution? Yet in this case, I guess if it threatens to reduce corporate profits then damn the world!

At first I almost wasn't going to answer your question.
But I figured I should really spare a bit of my time to give you some help, because you need it.
No 'liberals' are saying the world is ending.
Global warming is a fully accepted FACT throughout the scientific world.
Global warming might not end our world, but over time its going to get a hell of a lot hotter, which we have the power to stop or slow down.
Even in our lifetime, global warming won't heat the Earth enough to kill us.
So to answer your question, those two transactions will be fully completed, without problem.
The thing is we need to start cleaning up and working now to prevent global warming from getting much worse.
That is the whole idea.
But as for you, thanks for reminding me that most 'conservatives' are complete idiots.

I agree. A contract is a contract, and just because the world ends, doesn't mean you should get out of your responsibility of honoring it.
