Which show is better in your mind? I´m inclined to Rock Star, because the music there is my stuff, but i enjoy AI anyway. Daughtry showed last season that rockers can be idols too.
The band of RSSN is far better than the band in AI, and the judges gave better suggestions, but not one person can compare to the ********* and attitude (in a good way) of Simon. Comments?

I agree with what you say. It's hard to pit the two against each other because they are so different. I loved RSSN because the music is more my style and I absolutely adore Dave Navarro and Tommy Lee and I love Gilbie Clark and the house band is really good but like someone mentioned, on RSSN it's more important to see how one will interact WITH the band so that's necessary. On AI, until Chris Daughtry (whom I also ADORE), I always thought it was too "pop" for my taste but I do love the judges. I think I would have to go towards AI because I always watch it no matter what, but I only watch Rock Star when I'm into that band. I didn't see one second of Rock Star INXS.....

I like American Idol. Maybe because I'm not a big fan of rock. The band on Rock Star is important to the show because this is about being in a band. so the singer has to look good interacting with the band. On AI, the band isn't what the show is about. So the band can be in the shadows but it's only about the contestants.

Hope this made sense.

I completely agree with you.
I like RSS because it's more my type of music, as oposed to AI, which is mainly popish songs, unless you get someone like Chris Daughtry who really showed a more rockish side of AI. I like the judges of RSS because none of them seem to be as rude as the ones on AI, which is good sometimes. But everyone loves Simon.

It's a tough one, but i think i'd have to chose American Idol at the moment.
If they can get more rockers on there, like Chris, then it'd be my pick, but if it's just going to be all pop stuff, my choice will quickly change.

I love Rock Star, that's my kind of music. But I was not fond of their decision to pick Lukas.
The only thing I like about AI are the try-outs. What idiots! After that, I'm done.

I really enjoyed RSSN last year. It is supposed to be with Van Halen this year. I think Simon is the only thing that`s good about AI.

Hey definitely Rock Star, because your time is not wasted by seeing all these losers who have no talent auditioning - you see the hardworking talented singers who sing oldies and new songs with their own unique flare to it!
