differences in culture have a lot to do with disagreements. culture is based a lot in religion. having a president who understands cultural and religious diversity would be much better at mediation between nations.

We have a basic premise in the country...separation of Church and State, for those in power in our government, or at least that is how it is supposed to be and darn well should be. Therefore, the study of various religions should have no place in governing the country. Morals and ethics should be basic with or with out religious influence.

Since there is no official religion of USA, the president should not prefer any religion. Unlike our current president, an ideal president would treat all religions fairly.
