First of all, yes Terrell Owens(not Davis) is no where near the kind of player or person that Favre is and never will be.

I have answered a lot of questions about Favre. I have argued with Favre-haters online and in person until the sun came up. I have reached once conclusion in all this. People have a right to hate Brett Favre. Think about it...he has torn apart more defenses than any other quarterback in history and is about to tear apart even more. He is still elite and still has a cannon arm. If anyone wants to pledge that they watch Packer games closer than me, fine come and argue and tell me that in the past 5 years ATLEAST 50% of his interceptions are because of rookie recievers ran the wrong route. Yeah it looked like a horrible throw because the reciever ran the wrong damn way. He does have mistakes, but what other quarterbacks have to work with recievers like he does???? They Javon Walker for 2 years of good play before they got rid of him.

Here is my answer the amount of people who are about to post that Favre is selfish and wants records

Aaron Rodgers filled in for the 2nd half of a game and got injured for the season. CAN ANYONE TELL ME THAT IS THE QUARTERBACK FOR THE FUTURE? If I was Ted Thompson I would be begging for Favre to come back for 2 more years.

Attention whore????? Are you serious? The guy avoids the media!!!! lol How can you call that attention whore??? wow

Great....Brett is still a top 10 quarterback and, even better, you can count on him being there for every game. He may not be as good as he used to be, but he can still play better than most.

He still has a cannon for an arm and his feet can still get him away from defenders.

He will be coming back to an older offensive line and older receivers and that will only make things better than last year.

Yes, He does throw a lot of interceptions and, although I would like to argue that 50% are because of receivers running the wrong route, I know that is not true. He is by all definitions of the word a gunslinger and will try to win the game on every throw. If there is a 1% chance that the ball can get from his arm to his receiver then he will make the throw. To some that is stupid, but personally I like the aggressiveness. I would hate to see him go out and dump the ball to his back and tight end all day long.

You also have to be impressed with the fact that in 16 years in the NFL he only has one losing season. Not too many quarter backs can say that.

I would also have to argue that he is hungry for attn. I hardly ever see him on the TV after games unless people hunt him down and he takes every chance he can to go to his smll hometown each year. Also, it is not his fault that he is the focus of all the media whenever he plays, he is just one of those great american feel-good stories.

Personally, I will take the INT's because along with them come W's, TD's and another year to watch him play and amaze.

I think he should have chose otherwise, but I'm always behind the guy. I know he almost always through a good deal of INTs, even in his prime, but it's kind of sad that he'll have the career INT record come the end of next season (seeing as he's like 4 away)

and dude above me ---Terrell Davis was the RB for the Broncos of the late 90s XD!. I think you mean Terrell Owens (and you obviously don't know much about football if you can't even get his name right, as he's easily the most "visible" player in the media today -------and Favre is nothing like TO --watch you mouth!)

Literally couldnt care less. Favre is a attention wh*re. The announcers always focus on him, of course if the team doesnt win it isnt his fault. *true fact~ after games when the teams are shaking hands with other teams- being gracious- Favre goes back in the locker room- what kind of sportsmanship is that??? He's over rated, glory hog. He thinks of himself as the only person on his team that counts. He's like Terrell Davis with the eagles- only difference is terrell opened his mouth.

Well obviously CJD is excited that Farve is coming back. Too bad his excuses for Farves INTs are insane. Farve throws INTs because "rookie wr ran the wrong routes" ???? WRONG! Farve throws INTs because he is a risk taker who gambles too much and has too much faith in his rapidly fading skills. Throwing a ball into triple coverage is not the fault of a WR...sorry. How did you come up with that reason? Please take a step back from your man crush and come back to the real world. Drew Brees seemed to play quite well with the two rookies he had (Bush, Colston)...and he threw for more TDs & yards! The Packers rookie WR Greg Jennings was Farve's #2 Wr anyway! His #1 WR is Donald Driver who is seasoned veteran. Bottom line,No team is afraid of this guy anymore...him coming back means a few more touchdowns, more INTs, another mediocre season for the Packers, and another stupid Prilosec commercial. Outside of Green Bay....Who cares?
