I resigned from my previous employer through email when I had my vacation from my home country.
My employer told me that they will put a ban on me.
How will I know if they really did put this ban under my name?

1.contacting the Immigration and Naturalization Department
2. Trying to obtain a work visa and beeing denied.

When your employer says he has you banned, believe him and ask if the ban is for 6 months or a year.

Your employer also could not cancel your residence visa without your passport. Send him the Passport through Fedex and have the visa cancelled.

@SAS: ban still exists! Change is just made that the 6 months ban can be waived against payment.

now a days no one can put ban unless u have done some fraud or harmed he co. u have been working with .
just get a visit visa and come here the vist visa is not affected by the ban .
but to get visit visa uhave to get ur residence visa cancelled 1st if its not done by the co. yet.
it could be that the co, may declare u absconding and then u may not get even visit visa
