This is when there are no windows open. I think is using up all my ram. It seems These things are running automatically everytime I turn my pc on.

You acquire a utility stated as CCleaner... OMG... Your working sixty seven techniques... thats a lot. and a 64bit processor takes up a lot. 6 GB of Ram and nonetheless a situation, thats extraordinary... Run MSconfig... bypass to startup... and deselect each and every thing... I promis you ought to have much less techniques. and quite 50% is leaving you with 3 GBs or ram which remains stable... and if that's reminiscence ok, yet whilst CPU then no longer too undesirable as nicely. and quite relies upon if the gadget runs sluggish or quickly which you probably did no longer handle.

yikes! no, i have 10 tasks running, and i'm running a bunch of programs. 50 sounds highly abnormal.

Now if you're talking about processes, i count 41 running, so i sure hope you were looking under the processes pane.

ps. if you click "end process," it willshut down a program immediately as opposed to clicking "end task" and having to wait for a minute.

Hi, 50 is a little high but you can check the 'Performance" tab to see how much memory is being used. The 'iTunes' processes are safe to stop.

Most of those a just little services that your system uses. If it says system, then you shouldn't stop it. Or if it says local service. I lot of them that show your user name are programs used to speed up the start up of other programs. Some are also applications that are used to communicate with other devices.
