.
Peyton Williams Manning (born March 24, 1976 in New Orleans, Louisiana) is an American football quarterback for the Indianapolis Colts NFL franchise.
He is the son of former New Orleans Saints quarterback Archie Manning and Olivia Manning. Additionally, he is the older brother of current New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning and the younger brother of former Ole Miss receiver Cooper Manning, whose college career was cut short by spinal stenosis.
Peyton played high school football in New Orleans, for Louisiana's Isidore Newman School, then college football for the University of Tennessee and was selected by the Indianapolis Colts as the first overall pick in the 1998 NFL Draft. Peyton married his college girlfriend, Ashley on March 17th, 2001.
Manning holds several NFL passing records, including: Touchdown passes in a single season (49 in 2004), most consecutive seasons with over 4,000 yards passing (6 from 1999 through 2004), and most seasons with 4,000 or more yards passing in a career.
His career 94.4 passing rating in the NFL ranks first among active QB's with at least 1,500 passing attempts, and second all-time to Steve Young's 96.8. Manning has thrown for 275 touchdowns in his career (ranking him seventh all-time), and has thrown for a total of 37,586 yards in his career (ranking him thirteenth all-time).

Manning has almost all regular season records but has always crapped the bed in the playoffs.
(Colts fans always blame someone else, but the defense did not score only 3 points, he passed up open receivers to get Vandershank closer, etc.)
He has a chance to get the Monkey off of his back.

He's from La. Went to the University of Tenn. (vols). Father was a very good QB for the N.O. Saints during the 70's and early 80's. His brother is the QB for the N.Y. Giants. Payton is a very good QB who has never won the big game should a future Hall of Fame QB.

Well I do know that he is a pretty decent QB, but personally I cant stand him. He comes off as an arrogant jerk when he does those commercials all the time. I especially hate the ones where he makes fun of the people who have normal everyday jobs. Its like he is mocking them because he is a pro athelete. It makes me mad. You never see him in the United way commercials talking about how he helps elderly people or kids, you only see him in cell phone commericals where he talks about his "laser rocket arm" or in commercials where he degrades people in the working class (like when he asks the guy who was scalded by the steam whether or not his coffee was decaf, like his coffee was more important than the guys well being) He just doesnt have class sometimes.
however I will give him credit that most of the time he is a good QB on the field, but like all QBs he has bad days. I will be rooting against him in the Super Bowl and hope that my Bears win, but he is a good enough QB that he might pull through and win it for the colts. Sorry for my rant but that is jsut what I think about him and you asked.

He spends more time doing adverts than practicing which is why he throws so many interceptions. I can't get the game but I'm married to an American so I'm going to have to watch the Bears slaughter the Colts.
