read the book Growing Up Brady by Barry williams. He has a funny episode in which Tiger did not cooperate well during a filming of the show.

The original tiger faced an accident with a car in between seasons. When everyone returned for season 2 they had found another dog that looked like the original but it never worked out so they just wrote it out.

I read somewhere that the dog they used wasn't very cooperative so they stopped using him. One day he was there... the next day.. he wasn't.
