I want to quit my job as soon as I possibly can and the work book says. " We would like you to give at least a two-week notice before you leave your job." Does that mean that I HAVE to give them a two week notice or can I just go in hand them my termination form and leave..........forever?

You don't have to give them two weeks. Depending on how well the job went you might want to do it so you will get a good reference. If you are quitting because the job went poorly, this won't matter anyway and you can just quit.

You can leave anytime unless you signed contract I guess. Most people just ride out the 2 weeks if you need them for reference.

You don't have to stay for two weeks but it looks better on your record if you do. You may need a reference from them so you don't want to burn your bridges.

its courteous to give them notice so they can replace you, esp if you think you might need them for something in the future...reference, rehire etc.
