I smile then I may say "hey, look at your shoe" or "excuse me, it seems your shoe is attached to some kind of paper" but mostly I smile.

I smile gleefully, blessing my experience in getting gum off with a wee pocket knife. Toilet paper is for softies.

I would laugh, then tell them about it, before they are seen by others. Hopefully it is someone I can tell. I have had that happen to me and nobody told me about it, I had to find out when I looked down at my feet. =)

Tell them! I would want someone to tell me if I something like that happened to me. I'm sure they would appreciate your comment. No one wants to look like a fool in front of others.
