In fact they were not "AL Gore's" logarithms at all, they were independent scientists logarithms that he used in his movie to provide scientific context for those that would seek to undermine his attempt to enlighten the world as to the increasing jeopardy our way of life will come under if greenhouse gases continue to be created at the rate they are now.

Easy, It helps make his point. He is skewing perception by showing a report that is not understood by most people and is easily mis-interpreted.

One of the nice thing about numbers an statistics is that results can be easily manipulated. A classic example is to have a taste test between two sodas. If the test is done where product 'A' is always given first then product 'A' will most likely be the winner. This has to do with human nature producing flawed results. This is most likely what Al 'i failed to steal an election' Gore is doing.

Actually a log graph compresses the data, so if anything it would deflate the appearance of the data.

If he did not use a log graph, the data would not have even fit on the graph.

Nice try.
