as a 40 year old man why do i still feel like an18 yearold in my head?

My husband will be 41 on the 16th of Feb and he is still as young as when i met him nearly 13 years ago. We've gone to hell and now were back and better for it. Just because your age is creeping up it doesn't mean you have to act it. Be the man you were 10 even 15 years ago act like him too, its still you, you just might look a little older round the edges but who cares hay!!? Go out and have fun, my hubby and i are always having fun in fact our 8 year old son often says how we embarrass him because were always larking around......... Who cares................! Enjoy life its too short not to1 All the best...

I'm 48 and I still feel 26 most of the time, which means my children who are 27, 26, 22 & 20, are now my brothers and sisters, and my grandchildren are my niece and nephew!!! And they're not embarressed to been seen out with me,in pubs, clubs etc. But I am overweight, but not bald. Just had a thought, perhaps my 26 year old is my twin brother.

Don't worry, you are not alone in this feeling. I am 42 and still feel like an 18 year-old in my head too!! Probably because that was when I started having the most fun (and the fun just has not stopped for me yet!!). Just remember, you feel like an 18 yr old inside, but the body on the outside is 40, and will feel like it in the morning! hehehehe Been there, done that (a few times)!!

Some people just know how to live life fully, regardless of age. At least you won't be one of these people who look 70 but are really only in their 40's, I know a few of those and ewwww.

You're 40, no one can tell you how to live your life and although they can tell you to act your age...whether you do or not is totally up to you.

As long as you aren't pulling any stupid stuff or hurting anyone...enjoy!

Guys don't grow up, like we expected to do when we were 18. I have the same feeling, most times, and get reminded when younger people call me sir or I look in the mirror and see the premature gray.

Cool for you. I'm 43 and I look no older than 35. My actions sometimes and the way I think haven't changed much since I was in my teens. Of course, I'm a lot wiser and responsible but I'm still a kid at heart. I'm glad I still look young cause there is nothing worse than some old fart trying to look and act hip. I'm just worried that since I've held off the aging, what if it all catches up to me in the next couple of years?

IN MY OPINION, I WOULD SAY THAT U FEEL 18 BECAUSE MAYBE U ARE FORTUNATE ENOUGH TO KNOW THAT FEELING OLD AND DECREPID FEELS JUST THAT, OLD AND DECREPID. I AM A 40 YR OLD FEMALE AND I FEEL 21 IN MY MIND. I CAN STOP AND SMELL THE ROSES, ACT LIKE A SILLY TEENAGER, TELL A FUNNY JOKE(OR NOT SO FUNNY)
ANOTHER POSSIBILITY IS THAT U ARE FORTUNATE ENOUGH TO LIKE URSELF. WHEN U LIKE URSELF, OTHERS DO TOO, AND IT CAN TAKE DOWN UR MENTAL AGE AND MAKE ONE FEEL REFRESHED. THERE IS A LOT OF BEAUTY IN THIS WORLD BOTH IN NATURE AND IN THE PEOPLE AROUND US. KEEP SEEING THE BEAUTY AND U WILL AGE WELL MENTALY.
