I actually DO what kayboff suggested. I have a list of tasks I need to do. Start with one...get it done, come here for no more than 30 minutes, then go do another task, etc. Some days I get them all done, so the next day I can sit here without a guilty conscience.

I sometimes feel that I have to put myself on a rewards system. I have to accomplish something else, like dishes, laundry etc. and tell myself, that I can come back throughout the day, and take a break.

It's 11:55 here. Wherever you are its :55 after too. Just tell yourself at the top of the hour (noon for me) you will turn off the computer. Then DO IT. Don't just log off, turn the computer completely off!. Then jump up and start cleaning. Once you start its easy. Its the starting part that's hard.

That was soooo me last week. I start back at work next week tho and cant use internet as we get big b0ll0ckings, I'm gonna miss it soooooo much! Go out somewhere as far away from your pc as poss. Good luck and watch out for the withdrawal symptoms. xx

getting off an addiction means you need to take small steps.. step one, only answer good questions.. step two, ask like 2 or three questions an hour, then leave the computer.. step three, only give me 10 points to this answer... you should be completely free of Y!answers in about 90 days...
