There are no series 1943 $20.00 bills. It jumps from series 1934 to series 1950. Bill are not dated as to what year they were printed. They are dated as to when the design was started and changed when the signatures change, or a new design shows up, or a change in the design.

a 1999 20 dollar bill is worth $20 right? so a 1900 $20 bill would be worth a 1943 $20 bill which would be worth a 2007 $20 bill. no loss of value.
