Box characters with frowns. Yeah, that has terrorism written all over it, especially in a cartoon.

Weve been lving with an unjustified "Elevated" terror threat for how many years now?
We keep getting told by our so called experts the terrorists are going to strike in the US again.
We have also been told time and time again to report ANYTHING out of the ordinary, no matter how innocent looking.
I dont make fun of the fine people of the state of Massachusetts for being vigilant. Vigilance CAN turn out embarrassing sometimes, but better safe than sorry, isn't that what President Bush would say? Just ask all those guys arrested years ago, rotting away in Guantanamo Bay, no formal charges, no trials, no hearings, no lawyers, no Bill of Rights. They are in prison because Bush believes in "Better Safe than Sorry".
At the very least, there will be a HUGE drop in spontaneous, enigmatic advertising!

Boston overreacted and wants to sue. Man could they look more dumb. A marketing campaign that had been in place for weeks in different cities around the country and they go all out. You would have thought Bin Laden was here. He could be because instead of closing and/or fixing the borders and fixing the problems at home, we had to go create some abroad. No wonder people are jumpy.
Funny how this happens right after Bush does his State of the Union speech about all the terrorist attacks he personal thwarted

Its more than that. Take a map of the world (without the countries labeled) and ask people on the street where Iraq and Iran are. Chances are they'll point to Australia.
And I'm sorry to say this, but a UK News corporation already did this, and got that exact answer.

It might have been an over reaction on Boston's part but it also shows that Boston is alert to what could have been a terrorist plot and the other cities didn't. I think these people like in Turner need to get serious about their jobs.

Considering that the ad campaign had been running for over 2 weeks in 10 major cities in the U.S. BEFORE Boston freaked out, yes. It does make Americans (or just people from Boston?) look dumb.

Better they erred on the side of caution. They'll make Ted Turner pay for the costs and after a class action lawsuit has been settled on behalf of all the citizens who were inconvenienced it will be settled.

Strange black boxes under bridges with wires sticking out? I wonder why that would raise alarm. Those look a lot different in the light than they did in the shadows.
