i think the world's just gone so crazy no one wants to give out their address (i'm not surprised, but there must be a safe way to get one). it's quite sad really. i want a pen pal but someone normal who isn't looking to kidnap me or get in my pants.

I've got about 20 regular mail pals. Go to the yahoo groups then where it says search...put in penpals.....that how I got my penpals. Good luck!

God help me but I don't know! I love Pen-Pals. Finding a good stationary, pulling out my fountain pen, maybe a fun sticker to close the envelope. *sigh* I had one in Alaska for a little while but she moved to CA and never wrote again.
If your a kid you can find pen-pals easy, you go through your school and they contact another school far away and BAM you got yourself a pen-pal.
There is a Yahoo group that deals with pen-pals, the majority of the members are adults.

I used to have pen pals when I was a child, it was good fun it was exciting to receive a letter and I had the same one for about 5 years. I will be your pen pal. (I may be to old though) 46 mum and wife etc but would like to do that again.

You ask any kid these days what a pen is and they just look at you stupid! E-mail, internet, palm pilots all these things and people now will not take the time to hand write (as, of course, opposed to typing one out and printing it!) a letter...ah, the days of yesteryore! I suppose then there is the fruitcakes out there.
"Hi, my name is .......... and I like jellied sheep. Will you be my friend?" Er....No, bugger off!

Look online, pick a country and do a search engine search. There has to be someone on line that has brought the subject up.
