To walk and keep our balance. Can you imagine not having toes?! What if you made a wrong step? You would fall down because you would not have toes to grab on to the floor and keep your balance. You would fall down all the time.

To pick up things from the floor when we dont have fingers, I have forgotten the name of the younge lady at the moment.....but maybe you have heard from her after a swimming accident she became half lame from waist up couldnt use her hands she became very famous winning competitions with Paintings that she made with her mouth and her feet, i know thats not the real reason that we have toes but its interesting isnt it...

Toes help us keep our balance so we can walk and stand. I've heard that our most important toes are our big toe, and our pinky toe. I believe that in the old days, slave owners would cut the ends of the slaves feet off so they couldn't run. I think it was called "hobbling"

Toes are important in balance. Sometimes people who have to have them amputated require physical therapy to re-learn balance.
