Personally, I think they like dicking us around. Although there is no immediate agenda, no quid-pro-quo, nothing in it for them, the media is by-and-large a left leaning, liberal bunch of people. They love this social activism stuff. Once you get sucked into the idea of global warming as an immediate threat, you've enlisted in the liberal camp; now you can be spoon fed all sorts of ideas and ideals.
If we hear something often enough, we tend to believe it. Remember weapons of mass destruction ? The media plays a very large role in our perceptions of reality. The person that cannot think for himself is eventually going to end up trying to defend an indefensible position .
Go ahead, give me a thumbs down. But at least think about what I've said.

The warming agenda is just that by the current administration. A temporary set of plans.
agenda (plural agendas)

1. (now rare) Plural form of agendum.
2. a temporally organized plan for matters to be attended to.
3. a list of matters to be taken up (as at a meeting).

It is just junk to get peoples attention off the other matters faceing the nation. It is a very important issue and we should all do our best to remedy it. Take public transportation, car pool, walk, ride bikes.
One time the US Car makers had an Eco Friendly Car that ran on Electricity or Hydrogen, but the oil companies and those involved in oil $ discourage any learning or research into items that cannot be taxed per fill up.
Your Electric Co most likely uses a Coal Furnace, talk about 19th century. Rather than new houses having a R rating of 18+ in insulation maybe solar panels to heat the water and sell unused electricity back to the Power Companies would work.
Maybe not.

I haven't noticed. Especially any one-sidedness. Media, politics and religion have nothing to do with the weather. The weather speaks for itself. What causes weather conditions is for someone else to figure out. Enjoy what you can and deal with the rest. I don't see anyone doubting it is cold right now nor do I hear anyone debate there are tornadoes right now in Florida. Whatever causes this is irrelevant. The climate shifts from time to time, global warming? Whatever. I noticed some changes a few years ago that no one noticed. I used to grow vegetables on my balcony. The second year I tried it I did not have any good results and I know the sun was not doing the same job as before. What it all means or what causes it is not important but something has changed no matter what anyone says. I have seen changes. If you don't see something different open your eyes for yourself and forget what others say or claim. Use your brain. This Pepsi / Coke mentality doesn't help.

Aside from the fact that this is a very serious matter, one that everyone should be paying attention to, I think that all medias are starting to realise that we are on the verge of a global crisis - one that could easily lead to a drastic change in the way the earth exsist.

The melting of the polar caps, the shifts in global weather patterns, and the subsequent natural desasters cannot be ignored any longer and we, as the race that is doing the most to damage the environment, havea responsability to realise this and do something about it before it is too late. We risk leaving a legacy of a barren world to our children, and i for one am not willing to let the money hungry industries and short-sighted governments and individuals destroy the only planet we have, so i am greatful for Yahoo and all other medias for the focus they have brought onto this matter.

Perhaps it is simply representative of the the facts being very one-sided. Arguments that say that there are non-human causes for global warming do nothing to disprove the facts supporting human-caused warming. All it does is show that we may be even worse off, with two or more causes of global warming to deal with.

Well, maybe its because people do not seem to realize the impact of Global warming. We are seeing it now, but people still cannot grasp the impact this will have on every one of us. I guess what you really can't see, doesn't affect.

IT IS ONLY ONE--SIDED IF YOU DON'T AGREE WITH WHAT IS BEING SAID. YAHOO STANDS BEHIND WHAT IT BELIEVES THE TRUTH IS. THE JURIES OUT ON THIS THING---THERE NOTHING WRONG WITH HAVE A OPINION-- EVEN IF I DISAGREE WITH. WE ALL NEED TO LISTEN AND LEARN AND USE YOUR OWN MIND--ALWAYS KEEP YOUR MIND OPEN. YOU COULD DEAD WRONG --- BUT YOU MIGHT BE RIGHT-- TIME WILL TELL.

Because they know it scare's people. Same as Weapons of Mass Destruction. Now they want us to be afraid that we are going to burn or freeze to death. All the news stations are doing it. Especially with the groundhog. It may have just been coincidence.

It is because of the left leaning media...Sure global warming does exist...but it has always existed...And they want to scare people to going to their site to read about the 'crisis'
