Everybody has their own little tricks, and I'll be glad to share mine. First you need to understand that morning sickness is often brought on by low blood sugar. What you eat and when you eat are really up to you and how you feel, but it's important to go to bed with food in your belly and put food back in as soon as you wake up. If you always have something in your belly, you are much more likely to feel better.
As for my tricks, I eat a high protein dinner, about 1.5 hours before bedtime. Protein is digested slowly, so it helps me to keep food in my belly all night long. When I get up, I eat fortified dry cereal, and keep a box with me at all times, so I can munch throughout the day. I then go on to eat very small meals throughout the day containing as much of the nutrition requirements as I can stomach. I also drink 1 gallon of water a day and exercise each day.
Oh, and if something disgusts you - dont eat it. No matter if it's all veggies. It's better to keep your food in you than eat what you think you are supposed to eat. I've eaten so much worse (fatty and sweet foods) in the past 3 months than I ever did before pregnancy, but I'm eating what I want, and it's helping the food to stay in me! Good luck and feel better!

I've never gone through morning sickness (never carried a baby long enough), but my sister swore by this. First thing upon waking, even before getting out of bed, my sister would eat a few saltine crackers. She would then lay back down for a half hour or so, giving the crackers a chance to settle her stomach, then get up out of bed. She did this with her 2nd child, and had very little morning sickness. Best wishes and I hope you have a beautiful, healthy baby!

I was sick throughout my whole pregnancy, so I tried lots of things. I always had something in my stomach (throwing up food is way better than throwing up bile). I drank lots of water. I ate a ton of peppermint candies. I used Sea Bands (you get them at the drugstore. you wear them for motion sickness). And, I took prescription medication. Hope this helps :)

This is what my doctor told me:
*Eat 6 small meals daily instead or 3 large meals.
*Keep fluids to a minimum with your meal. Drink your fluids in between meals.
*Avoid fatty, fried foods
.
*Try eating a complex carbohydrate at bedtime to avoid first morning nausea. These are foods that are stored and you body can draw uon them for energy and sugar. Examples: Cheese and cradkers, fruit such as apple slices, grapes, peaches, pears, graham crackers.
*Eat saltine crackers before you get out of bed in the morning.
Another trick I know of myself is to eat a peppermint disc. Peppermint is great for nausea and upset stomach. I've been using it for years.
Good luck

You can try sucking a sour suckers, or candy or even a lime or lemon. Crackers or bread before you get up and out of bed.Nothing helped me so my obgyn put me on an antinausea suppositor, to no evail it didn't help. Finally he put me on dramamine, It is a motionsickness pill you can get over the counter and they make a non drowsey formual too. Check with your obgyn before taking any meds though. congratz

My wife seemed to react well to a couple of Ginger Snaps. Ginger is a natural way to calm stomach sickness. Good luck!
