what you have to do is bring all the numbers with X to one side, and numbers without X to the other. We do this by subtracting X from the ride side and adding it to the left, you get
7x-5+3x-x=6-10.
Then we need to move the five from the left side to the right side. We do this by adding it to both sides. You will get:
7x+3x-x=6-10+5
Then we add all the X's on the left side and all the numbers on the right, you will get:
9x=1. To get the value of X, you just divide by 9 and you get:
x=1/9
