It varies. All the web based Earth viewing sites are like maps, in that they may be more or less up to date, but are not live pictures. They use a library of satellite and aerial photographs. There is no live coverage of the Earth as seen from space. Even secret military satellites do not provide that capability. For one thing, lots of places are cloudy right now. Also, the satellites orbit very low and cannot see the whole Earth at one time. They pass above different parts of the Earth at different times, and it may be weeks between times when they pass over a given spot when it isn't cloudy there.

The bungalow I used to live in has been knocked down for months now but it's still on Google Earth, along with my tree, which has also gone.

I had my 1990 black Audi parked out the front of my place for about 10 months, and you cant see it there at all. and it has been gone for a few months, so maybe I blinked during an update. though cant see the car out back either, and that has been there during the days.

I put a new roof on my house three years ago but it still hasn't shown up on Google. I think their pictures are about five years old.
