the temperature was 0 degrees with a windchill of -11 and we still had school. what about the students who have to walk to school? isnt that a little dangerous?

Good try...I also live in this kind of weather. As long as you are bundled up you will be fine. I wouldnt walk a long way but a mile or less is fine. When it is this cold out at my kids school they keep them inside for lunch and recess.

Today the windchill was -15 but my little sister still had school without a delay or anything.

As long as the heating in the school works, and there is no bilzzard outside then scools usually stay open. I used to wish for blizzards when I was in school but we only had a few like in 78 & 79, it seems like we are having less and less snow storms.

Enh... When Dragon was in high school, the only time school got closed was when the governor closed all the schools in the state, and that only happened once cuz it was super cold. Way colder than -11. Otherwise, Dragon nevar had any snow days.

I live in the South, its never cold here, but i feel your pain, i am gonna visit New Jersey this Spring Break and i am scared ill freeze

When I have to leave my warm house to drive my kids to school because the wind chill is in the negatives and they have not cancelled!(my kids are walkers)

idk its retarded, it has to be like friken 20 below zero. and my superintendant is from alaska lol so that doesnt help me much. but ya i walk like 30 seconds to school and it would be like 20 degrees and my face would be numb when i got there. i hate winter
