Friday, Feb.2nd
St.Louis will beat Detroit in a surprising win. They're on the upswing with their new coach and Detroit has been playing inconsistently as of late.
Calgary will beat Columbus by a few goals. Calgary is at home and Columbus is relying too much on its big stars to carry the team rather than focusing on true team play.

Saturday, Feb 3rd
Pittsburgh will triumph over Washington in a good game. Crosby is on a hot streak and the Penguins seem charged up. Washington is playing well, and this should be an exciting one to watch.
Montreal will take the Isles in a close game, but it will be rather boring unless you're a fan of the Habs.
Edmonton should be able to whip the Avalanche by 2 goals. The Oilers are playing well together and are a strong team, while the Avs have struggled here and there throughout the season. This is one game you can write off if you're an Avs fan.
San Jose's power play will come back in this game and capitalize against Chicago. Expect tension from the Sharks bench to be high after two straight home losses to Dallas, and watch for Chicago to try anything to keep the Sharks from scoring.
Toronto should be able to steal this game from Ottawa. The Sens started the year off hot, but have been in "cooling mode" for the last month. Toronto has a few tricks up their sleeve, but overall this game won't be exciting if you're not watching it on the CBC.
Expect Philly to show some signs of life against Atlanta. With rumor trades bubbling around the league and pointing to many key players on the Flyers, they're going to be looking to picking up their game to increase their values.
Buffalo will capitalize on Brodeur's sluggish play through the stretch this year, and the Devils will skate circles trying to make something happen while the Sabres spring back and show why they won 10 straight to start the year.
Tampa Bay is coming off a high-scoring win and will take that momentum into the game against the Rangers, catching many of New York stars flat-footed.
Los Angeles will beat Florida. Anze Kopitar--no further explanation needed.
St. Louis will put up a good fight against Dallas after their win in Detroit. However, Dallas is on a hot streak after tearing down the Sharks' power play and will win this game by one goal.
Anaheim vs. Nashville would be the game to see this weekend if these two teams were in the same division. Expect a fast game with good hits, great passes, and amazing saves. Ducks 5, Preds 3.
Boston is going to have a hard time against Carolina on the road. Expect the Hurricanes to win by at least 2 goals in a boring game.
Minnesota will have a hard game against Phoenix in Arizona. Expect Gretzky's team to capitalize on the Wild's poor road play and the Coyote's strong play in the desert.
Calgary will fall to Vancouver in their 2nd game in two nights. Vancouver, as usual, sports a cohesive team coming out of the all-star break and always performs well late in the season. This should be an exciting game with lots of hits, lots of trash talk, and lots of fan enthusiasm. It's a must-see game!

Sunday, Feb.4
You can expect Washington to defeat the Isles in a shootout with some help from Ovechkin. Don't watch this on TV unless you plan to take a nap.
Pittsburgh will have an up-hill battle against Montreal. Montreal is strong at home and the Penguins are inconsistent on the road. Expect throngs of cheers for Crosby whenever he touches the puck, but don't get let down when Montreal puts this game away early in the 3rd period.

no odds or anything like that, but I'll give opinions on each game. half will probalby be wrong, but here goes.

St. Louis (they have really gotten better recently)
Calgary

Washington or Pittsburgh- that should be a fun game.
Islanders
Colorado
No calling. neither team is doing well.
Owatta
Atlanta. Face it, the fliers are the worst team in the NHL, Atlanta is one of the best.
Buffalo. one of the best teams this year.
I'm gonna say Tampa on this one.
Florida.
Dallas- the blues will be tired.
Who knows? these are two of the best right now.
Carolina. The Bruins are not dong so hot this year.
Who follows those teams anyway? Phoenix (thumbs down from pheonex and wild fans I bet)
Vancouver. Calgary will be tired

Washington, both will be off their games though.
and the penguins.
