Many "secure" wireless protocols, like WEP are EASILY hacked (minutes)

Other encryptions are better, but someone can still capture all your encrypted data and run a brute force decryption on it (Hours to days)

Once your traffic is out on the internet, then it doesn't matter what you are using between ethernet and wireless, the security will depend on the level of encryption you are using to communicate with, and whether there are any hostile routers between you and your destination.

Ethernet is better because any computer in use nearby can snoop in and in Ethernet it cannot get disconnected all of a sudden and is faster too.
