Does anyone know somewhere I could find those full-faced, ceramic mardi gras-type masks? I've been attempting to collect for years but don't have many at all cause I can rarely find them anymore...not even at garage sales or craft fairs! I don't have a whole lot of money to spend either, meaning I don't want to pay like $50 for one. Trusted websites or even stores (in the STL area) would be appreciated. I'd be willing to decorate my own too if you know here I could get plain ones. Anyone have any designs?? They don't have to specifically be mardi gras colors or anything. I have one at home that has blue feathers, sequins & ribbon on it & another with a glittery pink & green design coming from one of the eyes.

Thanks! :-)

I've only gotten one not-so-promising response in another category so I'm reposting in this one since it's technically a hobby of mine...and if I make my own then it would be a craft. hehe :-p

I see these Mardi Gras masks all of the time. Just go to a good Ceramic store and buy one. Create your own colors. Get one that is Bisk, not green ware. Then paint it, do the feather thing or sequins what ever you want. Just because it is ceramic doesn't mean it has to be fired. But if you want to fire it then it has to be done in ceramic paints.
