I think its a sham as well. I think there is not as much brainpower in medicine as i would like there to be. Physicians seem less concerned about what causes things and getting to root problems and more concerned with treatment. Hospitals are concerned with shuttleling people through the system...Phamacuetical companies wine and dine physicians ...patients wait in crazy lines just to get a prescription it just goes on....definitely something not working properly here!!!

The question may be more pertinent after your next car accident or other trauma, or major illness. Certainly there will always be people who are out just to make money, and they will push their product without regard for it's best use in society. Who says everyone's motives must be altruistic? But most medical professionals get into the practice of medicine to take care of people, and there may come a time in your life when you're glad to have them available.

Well the pharmaceutical companies make me sick and the whole health industry is a joke really.
Now the drug companies advertise on television putting it into perfectly healthy viewers to contact their doctor about a drug that they don't need. Its wrong and the American people have been paying for this vile crap for far too long. The politicians are lining their pockets with drug kick backs and they won't lift a finger to help the people.
It's sick really.

I do believe the medical field it the largest money making scheme in the world. To be honest if our government stopped spending money on illegal wars they could afford to provide FREE healthcare to everyone in the US.Also if they brought all the military doctors home and Nationalized health care so that everyone would have the same opportuntiy for health care ,then you wouldn't have millionaire doctors who pick and choose what is best for there career and forget what is best for there patients.I say nationalize healthcare and give proper care to everyone reguardless of status, race,or religion. In this way we would show just how much love we have for our neighbor, just read Christ story of the Good Samaritan.

Your whole post is one assertion after another. You don't support any of what you say with any facts, evidence, or reasoning.
If you want to grind an ax, atleast do your homework first.

When it gets down to it, just about every industry we need is a sham. But they've got us by the balls and they know it.
