You should try DragonSpell, DragonQuest, and DragonKnight by Donita K. Paul. It's a great series.

okay so this book isn't really fantasy but it has that old timey love in it..it's called pride and prejudice and the book is a lot better than any of the movies.

The whole Robert Jordan, Wheel of Time series would certainly fill the bill.

Eragon and Eldest are pretty good. If you would start to like vampires, there are Twilight and New Moon.
