My sister is getting a bass, and she doesnt know how to play it yet, we've seen a few but some have 4 strings and others have 5, what's the difference???

Oh and can u please tell me like a website where they have good prices and stuff? THNX 4 helping!!

A 5-string has an additional, lower string which is a low B. I would suggest she start on a 4-string as it will be much easier for a beginner.

a 5 string adds one string tuned a fourth lower than the lowest string of a 4 string.

just start with a 4 string.
