his suspension for 15 games lowered his all star value...but he still might make it since there will be a replacement named for yao and possibly another injured player

first off let me say YES DIRK IS THE BEST!!!! I can tell by your name you think the same :) And that DIRK should of gotten a starting spot, but of course...the All-star voting is just a popularity contest and name recognition. Thats why i think fans shouldnt vote for all-stars because they pick the same ones and leave out good players.
Now Carmello not playin on the WEST All-Star team....eh, i dont really care. With his little debacle in New York....i could see why he wouldnt be. True he's doin great!, but..he's a professional and needs to keep his cool. I'd say Josh Howard deserved to go in before him. But oh well.

I am not really mad because unless Denver changes to an East team, there is no way he can no matter how good he gets. However, he didn't make the WEST team and i think its not so crazy because you shouldn't let some stupid gangsta like him ruin the All Star night.

No, I'm not mad, i'm puzzled though. How many other all stars have been suspended or have even had off the court incidents that make the laegue look "bad". I am more upset about Camby not making the squad.

You think he deserves to be there for??? He's a big man, he knew punching someone in the face wouldn't get him big respect... Why would coaches be willing to take him in their team?
I think Josh Howard, Pau Gasol and Emeka Okafor could have been there WAY before 'Melo...
and yes, Denver plays for the West and already have Iverson on the team!

No noone should be mad, he desevers what he got, basketball is a game for familes to watch and kids, and when people start to fight it gives them a impresstion that it is ok to go push and punch someone on the court which it is not ok. So i say make him sit out and make him think about what he did.
