They sure can....kitty litter probably won't do a whole lot if you've been dripping oil over a long period of time. A good way to get out most stains is muriatic acid (found at Lowe's) this will eat the concrete on the driveway so you will have to apply a concrete sealer after as well. Read the directions on the acid for application.

Yes. Read your lease. Usually it has a clause that mentions oil on the driveway or garage. It normally says you can't change your oil or do car work on the property. Even if it doesn't, if they can prove that you were the ones that did the damage of course they can charge you legally. In the future remember that if you rent you need to take care of a property and return it in the same condition it was in when you moved in. If there were no stains when you moved in of course you should pay.

Auto Zone sells 25 pound bags of oil absorbent stuff that also other use is kitter litter for under 5 bucks
There is a cat sitting on the box in a pic on the back of the bag.
But a pressure washer with bleach detergent brushed in to the cement should work well

these is this soap that you should beable to get at an auto place that will remove it. my husband is a mechanic and they use it at work. senn it work. revoves it great. i cant remember the name though. sorry! you should be able to ask for something though at the store.
