Braveheart was better, but just a little. They are both great movies.

Braveheart - because the accents are more believable.

In Gladiator - (Own it), Russell Crowe's Character was supposed to be a Spaniard. No way I can believe that based on his acting.

The supporting characters and the storyline carry Crowe.

On a side note, the only other film where the accent went in and out of character was when Crowe played the Kentucky native in A Beautiful Mind.

Braveheart, although I looove both movies. I think it's because of my Scottish heritage. I love Mel Gibson before and after. I'm not an anti-semite and I'm not sure that I believe that he is either.

Even if he is, it doesn't make me like him less. We are all entitled to our own opinions. I am a Christian and believe that being Gay is wrong but I still think that Ellen is one of the funniest women ever and Elton John is one of the best music artists of all time. I tend to be more conservative and many of my friends are more liberal but I have them all across the spectrum. I still respect them and love them just tha same, I just do not agree with them.

Braveheart! Gladiator is great, but Braveheart is in another when compared to MOST movies!

That's a tough one. I would go with Braveheart tho. I liked the love story in that one. One of Mel's best work.

so, so, so difficult. but, i have to go with Gladiator. i've always loved Russel Crowe better than Mel Gibson. yes, even before i found out he was a hate-spewing, drunken Anti semite. Russel Crowe was beyond brilliant in Gladiator.

Gladiator, whether he is an anti-Semite or not, Gladiator is better. Braveheart was too sentimental.
