We went to the doctor and she checked me and she said the baby's head is engaged into my pelvis and wont be moving. So does that mean I'll go into labor soon? If so then great! I'm sooooo tired of being pregnant!

Going into labor soon, that's something no one can ever give a clear answer or not. It's good the baby is getting ready but it can take days, weeks. I wouldn't be surpirsed if it did take time, but than it can be anyday. You never know. It's just one sign that labor is somewhere around the corner, and I do mean somewhere. So gear up and get ready, but don't be surprised if you find yourself sitting around waiting a bit more.

Good luck, Congrats!

Well, that means the baby is in the proper position. Funny thing is with my son, he went in and out of engagement for the last 6 weeks of being pregnant. And he was 2 and a half weeks past term.

My Dr told me to do lots of walking, at a slow and steady speed. Sit when you need rest... I found that the mall was a good place to do this because the temp was controlled. I didn't get too hot or too cold.

Good luck!!

It's a good thing that the baby is in the right place, but I'm sorry to say that it doesn't necessarily mean you'll be going into labor soon. On the plus side, you ARE getting closer - so just hang in there!

You're well on your way! Congrats!!! It's still hard to predict exactly when...all babies are different. You're probably going to your doctor weekly now, so they will monitor progress. If you have any sort of regular cramps or just feel "odd" - similar to PMS or you just can't put your finger on what exactly feels off, call your doctor and go get checked.

Best wishes for a speedy delivery and a healthy baby!

yeah, when the baby finally gets into position {usually head down} it means your getting ready. The head pushes down and thins out the linings and as it continues pushing down it starts to dialate you. then soon after that you'll be in labor. don't get to happy though, you could go a few more weekx before delivering and sometimes even over your due date. Happy and healthy and speedy delivery to you! congrats!

What it means is that your baby is now in the correct position for birth. It doesn't necessarily mean that you will go into labour soon. Signs of imminent labour are getting "the show", having period-like cramps, and your waters breaking.

This is normal, but doesn't mean that anything can happen anytime soon. Hopefully you will get lucky, but I wouldn't really count on it. You aren't alone, the last 4 weeks are a mix of nervous anticipation!
Good luck, it will come soon enough!!!

It means that it could be anytime now, but the baby can still hold on until its due.
The same happened to my wife and my little boy was still a week late.
