If it occurs it might. But before that it will take out a bunch of Island countries and a lot of seaports. Your question reflects a strange attitude - sort of like "Why should I eat today when I will be hungry by tomorrow?" Even if the earth warmed up again and the seas rose that could be generations from now. No one is going to just sit around and put off needed repairs because they will be obsolete a century from now.
