"History is always on the move, slowly eroding today's orthodoxy and making space for yesterday's heresy." Do you think this quote is true? And can you provide any examples?

I do think it is true...

I'm gonna use the example of the USA Catholic Church....
(by the way, I'm a recovering Catholic)

The day to worship is on Sunday.... Sometime along the way they decided that was not convenient, So now it is acceptable to attend church on Saturday evening.

Another example using the same group... They used to fast for forty days and nights at Easter time.... Now they don't eat meat on Fridays.....

Have you ever heard of the Laws of Thermodynamics? These laws are never broken - they are as true as the Law of Gravity. Simply put they are;
1) You cannot win in this game.
2) You cannot break even in this game.
3) You cannot get out of the game.

The 2nd Law in particular, Entropy, states everything moves from order to disorder. Energy moves from a usable state to a less usable state.
Entropy always has a negative value. Never positive. Theoretically it can be zero. Everything causes Entropy.

No I don't, not entirely.

Everything spoken out loud and put into a sentence (making some sort of sense of course.) has some element of structure and validity because it is opinion... Even complete and total nonsense can be valid nonsense... Most belief's are personal opinion based on personl experience and it is the number of people who agree with anything that makes it valid or not.

Sounds like a slightly jaded person said this... So this would be valid to those others who find it makes sence to them.

To me, not so much... I find it to be a bit, back asswords myself...

not at all.
We are always constantly learning from our former mistakes, all errors that our society has commited through out history. Not that we don´t make them again, but at least we try.
