A famous celebrity?
As opposed to an unknown celebrity, right?
Or a famous nobody.
I've had the experience of personal contact with someone famous several times, and I couldn't care less.
I will never understand while people fall all over themselves just because someone has been on television, in the movies, or whatever.

I worked at fair ground that had a country festival. The vendors at the fair knew I had backstage access and asked me to go backstage and get them autographs. Not being up on the country scene I wandered around back stage looking for performers. I met Faith Hill, Kathy Mattea and the guys from Diamond Rio to name a few,but I had no idea who I was talking to.

I met Mr. Bean in Toronto a few years back, and I recently saw Justin Timberlake and Pink in concert, again in Toronto.
I also saw President Clinton at a book signing, and he just radiates kindness. I really, really like that man.

Um, it depends on who you'd define famous.
Salma Hayek, Johnny Depp, Melanie Griffin, Slater from Saved By The Bell, Antonio Banderas, and that's about it...
Salma, Antonio, and Melanie were at the same small hotel I was at.
Robin Leach in Vegas. But doesn't everyone see him there?

My big brush with fame came in the last 60s when Art Garfunkel(of Simon & Garfunkel) offered me a bite of his pastrami sandwich after a show. They were eating on the stage. Paul Simon was there with him and I chatted with them for a couple of minutes, starstruck. I still listen to their music.

I saw Cynthia Nixon getting out of a car with some friends four years ago in NYC. But it wasn't Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis, and Kim Cattrall. ;-)

not exactly face to face but I have seen a couple...
I saw Tom Wopat from Dukes of Hazzard walk past with his entourage at an airport once....
Also early one morning at the airport after dropping my hubby off, I passed by this guy who looked really familiar, I then realized it was Colin Mochrie from "Whose line is it anyways?" He was all by himself, no entourage...

Yeah. I saw Usher at a Sephora in Atlanta. I was thinking "no way", but then other people started staring, too. he laughed it off and just sorta kept shopping.
