India is having a mixed economic structure. It is neither fully capitalistic nor fully socialistic. It is neither completely an open system nor a fully free market system. The key variables in the choice of this economic design are: people's welfare, equitable distribution of wealth and income, a logical link between employment and incomes, restraining monopolies and concentration of power and wealth, and supporting health and education sectors through government subsidies and political strength. The guiding principles are; equal opportunity to all; access to education to all; respecting the right to earn a livelihood; freedom of speech and religion to all. A substantial institutional structure provides the basic pillars for the economic edifice thus built up. In a design like this, the government is neither an active player nor a passive spectator. it supports, helps, monitors, regulates, and initiates and substantiates changes as and when required. The bureaucracy plays a very critical role and needs to be educated and enlightened.

military drives the u.s. economy. If you look at our national budget most of our funds are spent on the military, not education or health care. I can't remember which president in mind but there was a time during the great depression that the President was able to fix the whole u.s. economy in one night by deciding to go to war. When war occurs, more materials are needed. Demand is high causing new businesses to rise and more job openings. The U.S. also collects a fee for aiding certain countries in conflict such as South Korea. I wouldn't describe America as rich but developed meaning Our streets are clean and our people are living good and easy lives, but internally we are a financial mess.

its a growing economy definitely.bt it has many flaws.there are not many hospitals in the country.people are dying cause of lack of hospitals and facilities.corruption is in the roots of govt machinery.and there is no way it can be curtailed.its everywhere prevalent like an epidemic.officials dnt spend the money on the public services.they fill their own pockets.and by the time crime is detected ten more officials are already being transferred.YES INDIA IS GROWING AT 9% GDP.chidambram is imposing taxes.compliance is increasing.where are the facilities.i think paying taxes in this country is of no use.if we tell the doctor in the hospitals, that we need bed cause we have paid the tax,the doctors and nurses wd throw the patient out in a minute.this is the reality in this country.pathetic.india is growing my friends, cause more fashion shows are being held and more nithari killings are being discovered.and more women are being raped everyday.a woman in nagpur sufffered a rod in her vagina by sme SICK minds, such people shd be amputated and left in open for suffering.INDIA IS GROWING FRIENDS

Its mixed between the lingering socialistic structure they got from the Russian during the cold war and capitalism which they have recently adopted from the free world

They are clinging on to the social structure because its providing for a lot of basic needs that india has not developed yet.

It leaning more and more toward capitalism, because it is letting them take advantage of the natural resources it has with in the country
