I want to know my guy's likes and dislikes just as i want him to know mine 'cos i feel it will help the relationship.

I always ask him what he appreciates or frown at in my character so i can drop the bad ones and improve on the good ones. He doesn't tell me because he says nobody is perfect.

But whenever he does something i like or dislike , i always tell him.

Recently, i told him that i don't like it when i ask him a question and he keeps quiet, he says i easily find faults and walked out.

Should i stop telling him?

Love him as he is not as you want to make him

Yes, nobody likes it when someone tells them all of their faults. We know we are not perfect and we do not like it when people consistently point this out to us. Human beings need space to be who they are. If there is something you do not like about him, accept that as a part of his makeup and who he is and do not try to change his ways. Trying to change someone is an ego tactic so they behave the way you want them to behave which is dysfunctional behaviour. Obviously if there is something unbearable about this person, you should tell them about it but there should be no attack, just make the statement. And if they refuse to change and you cannot live with it then leave them, they are obviously not right for you.

Yes you should stop telling him. We all have our good and not so good points. No body needs you pointing out what you think is a not so good point. Either you like the person as is, Faults and all, or you don't. Stop trying to control people.

You sound like someone who always has to be right. You just said that you like for him to tell you his likes and dislikes, right? But apparently only when you are ready to hear it, because he told you something he doesn't like, he told you that you find fault too easily with him, but you didn't HEAR HIM because you were too busy doing what, finding fault with him. You are going to drive this guy away.

Men are 'sorters'. They like to give helpful answers to questions. If you ask him something he can't instantly answer he will protect his integrity by saying nothing.

Men do that.

Word your questions so he can answer yes or no - doesn't always work but it helps.

I would stop telling him. He doesn't appreciate what you want or do.
