This question is just to time, i believe many countries will gain from all the good answers that would be sent.

USA is an Independent country like any other Sovereign ed country, it has been for long, and it is called developed country.

It is en downed with talents and gifts, all these among others are the opportunities it has over other under-developed countries.

But these do not declare USA a leader or for it to be working as a leader of the world and never to suppress any weak countries rather is to render aids or assistance and bear the burdens of the weaker countries.

You have no idea what you are talking about. I used to live in what you call a "weak country", and let me tell you, I wish that the US would have come and suppressed it. My parents stood/slept in line for days so they could get a pound of sugar!

Let me ask you this. Would you prefer Russia, Iran or maybe China to be a world leader? When faced with the options, the US is not a bad choice. Every country will make mistakes, just like the US has. But look at what Germany and than Russia did. If you want an example of real suppression, they are it.

It is true that America has been acting as a Big Brother, bossing over every other nation in the world. I think Americans are the most uneducated people in the world. Otherwise they wouldn't have allowed their leaders to decide on Gulf war,Iraq war, now getting into controversy with Iran. They are the people who are easily misled by their larders. And when their own house is on fire, they are busy in putting off the fire else where. Very soon America will be a dangerous country to live in. They have made enemies everywhere, their economy is becoming weaker and weaker, their environment is being polluted, the youth are unemployed, many are loosing jobs everyday, many companies are being closed or shifted else. America in reality not such as it is projected in the medias. America never been the leader of the whole world nor it will be in the future. It has been only a wrong impressions in the mind of Americans or other have made America as such. Don't make the same mistake to call it " world leader".

World leader? Yes. Suppress weak countries? Not a very good analysis. We do more than any other nation to provide aid to countries that need it. That's not opinion, it's fact. Many American lives have been lost to do just that. However, when other countries feel the need to abuse their own citizens, attack ours, or give support and/or refuge to those who have these intentions.....YES, they deserve to be weakened by our great nation. It's called many things, consequences, cause and effect, etc. but NOT suppression.

And create more little jihadists? Remember, at one point in time, Osama bin Laden and Sadaam Hussein were both our friends. We have more failures in Nation building than the we successes. And I think the United Kingdom is a prime example of how futile it is. The tighter you grip with your hands, the more that other nations will slip through your fingers.

Sorry, I happen to be a "USA FOR THE USA" person. The more we interfere, the bigger mess we create. I have no problem with the United States' private citizens giving to charitable purposes around the world, but I agree with Thomas Jefferson when he said, ""Peace, commerce, and honest friendship with all nations – entangling alliances with none."

IThat's a loaded question.

Should Iran (insert any other country here) work as a world leader and suppress the weak countries of the world??

Do unto others is always the best answer IMO.

suppress ?
no I think we should ignore them
and then a disaster happens and the world is begging us for help and criticizing us for not getting there fast enough

or they hate us because we work hard and have laws that work
( except immigration which we are still repairing from the clinton screw ups.) So they mess with us and we have to pound them, stabilize them and get them to the place were they can kill each other again

No one is weaker than other till one thinks that they are weaker. Hence we should remove the feeling from our minds that we are weaker. USA is now acting as the world leader as no one better is there to do so. If we take an initiative we to can lead the world. Let's try to do so!!
