Jesus does have a bit of a confidence issue. He's afraid the Jesus of the Latter Day Saints is better than him.

Jesus Rodriguez or Jesus Christ?
Because Jesus Rodriguez just likes to talk s**t, but Jesus Christ is just trying to help out. It's not really a threat so much as it is a heads up.
He's just saying that some really bad things are going to happen...inevitably(hope i spelled that right) and that He can save us if we do what he says....Kinda like Sam Jackson in snakes on a plane it's just a MUCH worse situation.

It is "I know the way, you choose what you want. But here are the consequences of either choice." He's just very frank and honest about it.
