What are the pros and cons of each console?Which has the better graphics? Games? Online? future potential? Thanks so much for any info you can give?

i live in australia and i just LOVE my xbox 360
i had a wii and sold it within a week because the graphics suck
the usability of the xbox 360 is really really good ( i owned a psp and the menu is similar to the ps3 and not great )
the xbox 360 is more powerful
now i dont want to sound like a ranting fan boy here so heres why
because it has 3 symmetrical cores it is easier to program for, ie if one core is doing too much already the code can be "cut and pasted" into another core and viola it works
on the PS3 it is effectively 7x harder to program for because when your code doesn't run on that core you have to start all over again
the ps3 if it were a computer would be more powerfull because on a computer the OS designer makes the software and your program runs at full speed and the OS does the maths
as a games console, a great example is gears of war - the play station 3 couldn't run gears of war
the play station 3 is better for larger landscape games, slower running sort of games will have better graphics
but remember that goes as far as the cpu, it only has 256mb of graphics ram and the xbox 360 has 512mb and its gddr3 ram ( fastest there is )
the xbox 360 controllers kick *** you can hold one of them for 5 hours and walk away with no saw fingers
the xbox 360's games i believe are better but its a matter of opinion
because the xbox has a 12x dvd drive you dont have to wait for games to load like you would on the ps3

Let me say this now before it turns into war...
The 360 has better game choice and better graphics at the moment, It also has most of the bugs worked out and the overheating problems have been taking care of. Xbox live is also very well done.
That being said the ps3 has more raw power and the motion sensing controller. The ps3 probaly has more potential.and has free online. But it cost $600
I personally have a 360 for the price.

I have been a Playstation follower since day one. And great games will come out for the PS3 soon enough. However they screwed the pooch on this one. Plus I assume you want somthing now. I would go with the 360. Gears of War is amazing, Lost Planet is worth every penny, and the forthcoming Lost Prophecy, an RPG by the creator of the orginial Final Fantasy series up untill FF8 looks to beat out FF13 on PS3.
Plus as far as a movie player. It looks like HD-DVD will beat out BlueRay in the media war.

xbox 360 better online games and has games. I just bought a ps3 and I already want to give it back theres no good games on it and you have to buy a whole bunch of stuff if you want to convert your ps2 to ps3.

Neither, get the Wii. The PS3 and Xbox 360 may have better graphics, but the experience and the games are so much better with the Wii. I have played it and it's awesome.

well there are there ups and dawns for 360 or ps3 and well i ha pend to have a job at this place and i can tell u that 360 is better because the xbox live is better but the ps3 is good because it has good games....but it cost too moch so i recommend 360 till the PS3 cost gos Dawn

xbox has better games as of now however the ps3 can do more things with blue ray ect. i would go with the xbox 360
