Not merely the deafening noise, but also the MASSIVE physical thrust on our 'being'....
Just try visiting those huge vast mountains like the Himalayas, and if you happen to be alone even for a while, just facing the vastness of the awesome sight, silence will 'happen' TO YOU in many many ways !!!

Great question, meow..

The silence of looking at someone you love when no words are needed to be spoken...the silence of being in nature......of just laying in the dark and listening.....this silence is not an absence of sound, this silence includes all sound...I think in a sense this stillness n silence does have a sound of it's own but I'm not sure what it is....it is full and blissful tho, and I think that maybe this fullness and blissfulness has a certain kind of music to it.

Your question just gave me an idea for two questions of my own. If yah get a chance check them out!!! :)))

"According to quantum physics, everything in the universe vibrates. Even if it seems quiet, the atoms in it are always vibrating, and they resonate in a unique frequency for each body. If you consider vibration as sound/noise, then yes, stillness and silence have a sound/noise of their own."

If that's true, then if everything is moving and vibrating to make noise, then they aren't still or silenced. :)
Since there can't be absolute stillness or silence, they can't have a noise of their own since they don't exist. How's that to screw with your head? :D

Simon and Garfunkel said > the sounds of silence. Is silence the absense of sound or just a different frequency?

no because silence has no noise and stillness means nothing is moving

Even in silence you can "hear" the silence , or you name it. When I when to the desert I was asked to listen. To what? I asked, "to silence" was my response.
Silence has an awesome symphony.

yes. they are more powerful and more deafening. on the other hand, i usually parallelize silence to a notion that the world is with me, listening to what I am saying or thinking.

Only what's in your own head.

If your eardrums is not vibrating due to any outside stimulus, there is no noise.
