I've got a Fujitsu Siemens C Series Lifebook laptop and in the last few weeks I've been having trouble turning it on. You press the button and you can hear the fan begin to spin but nothing after that. Occasionally it takes a couple of attempts to switch it on but then other times no matter what you try it won't turn on. Have tried giving the switch a good clean but without any luck... any ideas?

Try holding the power button down for a full 60 seconds, sometimes static builds up and this gets rid of it,a common problem with laptops.
